What You Need to Know Before Choosing a Hosting Account

There must be thousands of hosting companies on the internet. But are they all the same?

There are so many factors that we could go into, but let’s stick with the main functions.

Here are a few questions you should ask yourself before selecting your hosting company, listed in order of importance:

1. Does the hosting company offer CPanel?

Cpanel is a control panel that allows you to easily upload files, edit or delete them, among many other tasks that we perform on our websites.

2. Can I use an external domain?

Even if the answer is yes, more investigation should be done to determine what process is required to do this.

3. Can I set up an email account under my domain name?

Most times, if there is a CPanel, it will allow you to set up a domain email. example: yourname@domain.com.

This is often helpful when you want to show that you are a professional, rather than using a free email address.

4. Does the CPanel offer free script installs, such as WordPress, Joomla, etc.?

WordPress is the most popular content management system on the internet today due to it’s ease of use.

Once you have answered the questions above, you can move forward with registering with a hosting company.

So, What Hosting Company am I advising You to Stay Away From?
